This is where the rubber meets the road...now it is time to translate the education and the training from Bridges out of Poverty into action. Today I began unpacking all that needed to be put into place for the "Getting ahead in a just gettin' by world" and it is formidable. What I fear is the 'unknown unknowns' that could torpedo the attempt to make a difference in our community. For some reason, I have the sense this first class has to be stellar and successful to allow the momentum to continue.
How do you keep volunteers interested and ready to go to the next step? How to you foster leadership and buy in from others. Starkville Bridges has outgrown what I know how to do and it scares me. Please God, remind me to simply do what is put before me and to place one foot in front of the other.
And, btw God, thanks for the remarkable people you bring into my life, even if only for one conversation.
